Frequently asked questions

Is PixBulk completely free to use?

Yes — every tool is free with no file limits, no accounts, no watermarks and no hidden premium tier. Because all processing happens in your own browser, there are no server costs to pass on to you.

Are my photos safe? Do you store uploaded images?

Your photos are never uploaded anywhere — that's the whole point. PixBulk processes files locally using Canvas, Web Workers and pure-JS engines. You can disconnect from the internet after loading the page and everything keeps working. Close the tab and nothing remains.

Will compression affect the visual quality?

You control the trade-off with a live preview. At 75–90% quality, most images are visually identical to the original at 3–10× smaller. For strict targets (like 100KB forms), our engine finds the highest quality that fits the limit automatically.

Can I compress images to an exact size like 100KB or 2MB?

Yes — dedicated tools exist for 20KB, 50KB, 100KB, 200KB, 500KB, 1MB and 2MB. The engine binary-searches quality (and resolution, optionally) until every output lands at or under the target, guaranteed.

Can I process multiple images at once?

Batching is the default everywhere. Queue entire folders — 200+ files is routine — and process them in one pass with live progress, then download everything as a single ZIP.

What image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, GIF, BMP and SVG for input; JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and more for output — depending on the tool. Each tool page lists its exact formats.

Does PixBulk work on mobile devices?

Yes. Every tool is touch-friendly and works in modern mobile browsers. For very large batches, desktop is faster — mobile CPUs have less headroom for hundreds of files.

Is PixBulk safe for confidential photos?

Yes — confidentiality is architectural, not a promise. Every file is decoded and re-encoded inside your own browser tab using Canvas, Web Workers and WebAssembly. Nothing is transmitted, queued on a server or stored anywhere, so sensitive documents, IDs and client work never leave your machine.

Can I chain several tools in one workflow?

Yes. Outputs feed straight into the next tool without re-uploading — for example, crop a folder of photos, compress the crops to 100KB, then convert them to WebP in one continuous session. Everything finishes with a single ZIP download.

What tools does PixBulk offer?

88 tools across 11 categories: AI (background removal, upscaling), compression with exact size targets, format conversion (HEIC, AVIF, WebP), crop (passport, 2×2, circle), blur & pixelation, merge/split/overlay, GIF editing, EXIF & DPI, social media resizing, rotate/flip and batch watermarking.
